The Building Storm: Gold, the Dollar and Inflation

A good analogy to the global currency devaluation is a slow-moving hurricane that, once over warm water, gains energy.

Right now the global inflation is a huge storm, slowly circling off the proverbial coast where it is gathering strength from the hundreds of billions of dollars being fed into it by governments desperate to avoid economic collapse…and from pricing decisions being made by everyone from manufacturers to local shopkeepers looking to cover rising costs.

At this point the skies are dark, the wind is rising, and the torrential rains are beginning to sweep in. The radio is broadcasting warnings to move to higher ground, but the hurricane has yet to hit the shore.

But when it does, it will be a Category 5 and maybe worse.

Gloomy forecast for the economy. You won't hear much about this from the candidates.

  1. Right, not much from the candidates, because they sat on their hands in congress rather than bite the bullet and reign in the Fed monster they created, but are too stupid to fix it. Voting won't bring anything but more of the same. It's all over.
time for Atlas Shrugged - stop supporting an immoral system.

  2. I agree that neither candidate is able to understand the problem; much less fix it. However, invoking Atlas Shrugged at this point is premature because that suggests that the producers of wealth and goods are ready to abandon the system and revolt. They are not ready to revolt; indeed they continue to lobby and support the candidate whom they expect to provide them with the least objectionable options. Until they withdraw their support from the state and head for Galt's Gulch, we will continue to fight phantoms.

  3. well said, mac_man.
Revolution can accomplish nothing except martial law and death to those who revolt. Force is immoral and sets a very bad example. Atlas Shrugged not by revolt, but by refusing his life and property to the system.

They are not phantoms, they are real and insidious. America has passed the point of no return, plunging into inevitable collapse. One must first grasp the casual immorality, then take action by refusing to support it. Not "whenever", but NOW. The alternatives for the future promise nothing desirable to the future of mankind.

Read my link, it's all there. Find your place in Galt's Gulch!

  4. You may rest assured that our adversaries would consider a refusal to support their agenda with our property and our taxes a revolt and would respond with any means they considered adequate to quell the rebellion. One cannot refuse to support the state and expect no retaliation from the state unless one can find shelter from the storm; i.e, Galt's Gulch.

I am not advocating forceful resistance, but re-electing the same incumbent politicians who are enslaving us is clearly not the answer.

A wise man once said a long journey begins with small steps:

They can't make you vote; don't vote or, at least, don't vote for mainstream candidates.

They can't make you send your children to their schools; don't. Home schooling or private schools are options.

Know your rights; just say no if they want to search your home or vehicle without a warrant, especially if you are innocent.

I'm sure you have other suggestions. Please post them in the comments.
